Spring in Pittsburgh always brings a few traditions with it. Warmer weather, longer days, and the return of one of the region’s favorite indoor shopping events: the Pittsburgh Arts & Crafts Spring Fever Festival. We’ve been participating in shows with Family Festivals for several years now, and this event is always one we look forward to.

“They run an amazing show that attracts a lot of customers to every event,” Debbie says. “We love the location being indoors and customers can shop no matter the weather.”

Anyone who lives in the Pittsburgh area knows March weather can be unpredictable. Having the festival indoors at the Monroeville Convention Center makes it easy to spend the day browsing, discovering new vendors, and enjoying the experience no matter what the forecast looks like outside.

The Pink Platypus Personality

If you’ve visited our shop before, you already know Pink Platypus Emporium has its own personality. “FUN! And quirky,” Debbie says when asked how she describes the shop. “We love having a unique flair to home decor. So many of our clients love not only our variety but the fact that you can find not your average items.”

That same personality shows up at our booth during shows like this one. Visitors often recognize items they’ve seen online, and they also discover new pieces that haven’t made their way to the website yet.

Meeting customers in person is one of the best parts of doing these events.

“We love seeing everyone at our shows. It gives us a chance to get to know our followers and make new friends.”
